Oshkosh Diagnostic Tool Requirements
The diagnostic tool is composed of the following components:
- A PC that meets minimum requirements. See PC Requirements below for the minimum PC requirements.
- A J2534 Vehicle Communication Interface (VCI) that facilitates communication between the PC and the vehicle. This is a an off the shelf product that meets specific vehicle communication standards. There are many such devices in the market but not all of them meet the full requirements of the J2534 specification. Note that each VCI requires manufacturer specific driver software to be loaded onto the PC to enable communications. See J2534 VCI Recommendations below for a list of devices tested and confirmed to work with OKDT.
- Oshkosh Diagnostic Tool (OKDT) is the diagnostic software itself. The link to the software will be provided once an active account has been created. This can be requested by completing form using the CREATE AN ACCOUNT button below to start the process.

SUBSCRIPTION PURCHASE
Purchase: Upon completion of the account creation form, an email notification will be sent to Oshkosh to create the account. The account will be created and the user will be notified via email when the account creation process starts and again when the account is created. The user will be invoiced for the purchase amount and notified how to make payment via email. If payment is no received by the due date, the account will be de-activated until such a time as payment has been received.
Once the user receives the second email that the account has been created the subscription period will commence the following day and will be valid for a period of one year.
Renewal: Software account access will expire on the expiration date unless it is renewed. Users will be notified prior to the expiration date in order to allow for sufficient time for renewal and to avoid disruption in service.

Why can’t I log in or reset my password using the Username or email and Password selection?
Your account is set up to only use the External SSO button to access the software and change your password from this selection
Why doesn’t my VCI connect to the vehicle?
Verify you have:
- Vehicle ignition set to On
- Selected the correct VCI device from the Change VCI menu option
- Proper connection between the VCI and the vehicle DLC
- VCI specific management software is not running and connected to the VCI
Why does my OKDT software run some tests OK, such as health check and datalogger but others fail with security errors, such as Active Commands, ECU Reprogramming?

Download and install the software, reboot your PC and try the failing tools again.
