There are several air and dust access points on the vehicle that contribute to excessive airborne dust in the cabin while operating the vehicle. These changes are intended to mitigate dust ingress to the greatest extent possible while design changes to the NGDV are implemented to offer are more permanent and automatic solution.

When an NGDV is not equipped with an MDD (Mobile Delivery Device) and the low voltage (12V) battery is disconnected; the time and date of the vehicle needs to be reset manually using the controls on the steering wheel and prompts on the Instrument Panel Cluster.

In order to utilize the Oshkosh Diagnostic Tool (OKDT) in locations where internet connectivity is limited or unavailable it may be necessary to pre-configure OKDT to work in the offline mode allowing a technician to perform the majority of diagnostic capabilities without internet connectivity.
